Cake and ice-cream are great all by themselves, but when we combine the two we experience something greater than the sum of it’s parts. The same is true when we combine two complementary drawing tasks, except we maximize the skills we build instead of the weight we gain. Over the course of 4 sessions we will render the human form in 4 different mediums: Conte Charcoal, Metal Quill-Pen, Ink Wash, and Paint Stick with Ink(see supply list). There is no getting around the practice required to master drawing the figure from life. Therefore I designed this workshop to keep things fresh while we walk in the footsteps of the old masters.
