This 8 week artistic anatomy course is designed for people who want to learn about drawing the figure through the lens of artistic anatomy. Artistic anatomy is the study of anatomy crucial to the artist when depicting the human form, developing an understanding of underlying musculature and bone structures that inform the outward appearance of the figure. Each week, students will focus on a different part of the body, studying the torso, pelvis, shoulder girdle, etc individually, and combining it all together at the end. 

Some familiarity with drawing the human form is helpful, but not required. Each week will start with a lecture, followed by drawing from a live model. There will be take-home practices and studies provided, but not required. We will cover the fundamentals of artistic anatomy, giving each student a solid introduction to the structural anatomy and proportion needed to draw the human form. Demonstrations and individualized feedback guide students through the course.
